Dr. Oliver Hardick, CEO, will be presenting in the SME Showcases session at the 11th Annual bioProcessUK Conference discussing how new processing technologies will be required to satisfy the changing biotherapeutic market.
Imperial Innovations Group plc (AIM:IVO, ‘Innovations’), the leading technology commercialisation and investment company and S.R.One Ltd, GlaxoSmithKline’s venture capital fund, announce today that they have led, alongside co-investor UCL Business PLC (UCLB), an £850,000 seed financing for Puridify, a newly formed company providing purification solutions for biotherapeutic manufacturing.
Puridify was successful leading this application for a £499,728 Technology-inspired innovation – Biosciences project from the Technology Strategy Board’s Collaborative R&D award program. This will see Puridify and University College London develop and test its platform technology with a series of scale down prototypes with key end users driving forward the technology’s commercialisation. This work is co-funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council.
Puridify was successful leading this application for a £114,362 Sustainable high-value chemical manufacture through industrial biotechnology Technical Feasibility project from the Technology Strategy Board’s Feasibility Studies award program. This will see Puridify apply its platform technology to industrial biocatalysis applications in collaboration with an exciting biocatalysis company, Prozomix Limited.
Puridify was successful with its bid in a £168,000 Proof of Concept project from the Technology Strategy Board’s Smart award program. This will see Puridify develop a large scale FibroSelect prototype to demonstrate technical feasibility at process manufacturing scale.
